Top Ten Tuesday - Ten Childhood Characters You Would Like To Revist As An Adult To See What They Where Like

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week we are given a different top ten to complete. For more information and a list of past and future topics, go here.

This weeks topic asks us to relive the books we read while we where growing up and to decide what characters we would like to look into the lives of now to see how they too have grown up.

  • George Weasley ( Harry Potter 1-7) – as I mentioned in my rant on endings, I wanted to see how he was coping without his twin. His nineteen years later story was left out and he was one character I was rooting for, did he lose his sense of humour and his mischievousness after Fred? I wanted to know.
  • Simon Snow/Baz Pitch (Carry On) – are they still together ten years later? How does Simon manage with no magic and wings and a tail? Does Baz learn to love himself?
  • Cinderella (Cinderella) – does the slipper still fit?  Does she cook for Prince Charming? After ‘that’ dance, do they have things in common?  Do they watch Game of Thrones?
  • Oliver Twist (Oliver Twist) – what happened after he came into money? Does he turn into a scrooge and have to be visited by three ghosts?
  • Leo/Kate (The Art of Being Normal) – do they get together? Did they both fully transition? Did Alicia put a spanner in the works?

    Adult To Child
  • Will Traynor (Me Before You) – I want to know what he was like before the accident, more about his past and how he became so damaged emotionally.
  • Hercule Poirot – was he always a know it all? Was he brainy at school?
  • Miss Marple – was she always a busy body? Did she have any friends or was being her friend or niece the kiss of death?
  • Jennet Humfrye (The Woman in Black) - I want to know her story (I have tried to write it), I mean she is dead in the book and does wear black, but why?
  • Nancy (Oliver Twist) – I want to know how she ended up with Bill Sykes and was a prostitute.

  1. I didn't think of George Weasley when doing my list but it would be interesting to see how his life panned out and how he managed without Fred.
